K.R.A.K.E.N. for 2013!

K.R.A.K.E.N., (Kids Reading Around Kingwood Every Night) graphic novel book club, will meet in the Children's Activity Room, Thursday, January 17, at 4 pm.  The graphic novel for the month is Geronimo Stilton. Miss Sunni and the kids are continuing to work on their own graphic novels.

Come join Miss Rose to make a craft honoring Martin Luther King Jr., on Monday, January 14, at 4 pm. Again, a reminder that the library will be closed Monday, January 21.

Book Club reads "The Forgotten Garden" by Kate Morton

Join the Kingwood Library Book Club on a journey through generations and across continents as they read about two women who try to uncover their family's secret past in "The Forgotten Garden" by Kate Morton.  Our book group, which usually meets on the third Monday of the month, will meet on Monday evening, January 28, at 7:00 p.m. in the library Meeting Room.  All are welcome!

Dragoneers for 2013!

Dragoneers will be starting 2013 with a bang!  The book club for school age children reading chapter books will have a craft on Thursday, January 10, at 4 pm making masks using balloons.  Miss Connie has said that you can make masks or helmets.

On Magical Monday, January 14, there will be a craft celebrating the birthday of Martin Luther King. The Kingwood Library will be closed the following Monday, January 21 for the day.

 

"Downton Abbey" Fan Alert!

The Great War is over, but intrigue and romance still grip the estate as Masterpiece Theater's "Downton Abbey" begins its third season!  Come join with others to talk about the Season 3 opener on Monday, January 7, at 1:00 p.m. or 7:00 p.m. in the library's Conference Room.  Refreshments will be provided.
