2010 Census LogoThe city of La Porte encourages citizens to participate in the 2010 Census. (“La Porte urges participation in Census,” The Bayshore Sun, 3 Mar. 2010: A1). Please fill out and return your form. If you have questions or need help filling out the form, representatives from Census 2010 will be at the library to assist you at various times. Sylvan Beach is a Beach Again!

Picture of Newly Renovated Sylvan BeachLast week, I took my first walk at the newly renovated Sylvan Beach. The beach is wonderful! There are two small sandy areas at each end, a broad sidewalk leading to each beach, marble benches, small jetties jutting out to the bay, and gorgeous antique lamps lining the sidewalk. The citizens of La Porte and the surrounding area have a big reason to celebrate: there is a beach nearby to enjoy the water!
