Halloween Howl!

 

 

Do you like treats? Then don't miss our Halloween Howl this Thursday, October 31 at 4:30pm. We'll be playing a variety of carnival styles games around the Children's Area with candy and prizes for all participants. Don't forget to wear a costume...we'll have our own library costume parade at the end of the program!

Teen Read Week

Seek The Unknown @ Your LibraryRead just for the fun of it!  Seek the unknown at your library and join the North Channel Branch for Teen Read Week. 

On Tuesday, Oct. 15, come to the library and TAG the Unknown, meet other teens and learn how you can be an active member of the library.  On Wednesday, Oct. 16, investigate an alien glow and take home evidence of your own alien encounter.  On Thursday, Oct. 17, meet the Unknown Poet—You!  Use a technique called blackout to create poetic expressions of your own. 

All programs will start at 4:30 pm in the meeting room. 

Customer Survey @ Your Library

North Channel Library is TAKING PART IN “Harris County Public Library Customer Survey”
The North Channel Public Library is joining libraries across Harris County by participating in the "Harris County Public Library 2013 Customer Survey."  Library volunteers and staff will offer you surveys to get your comments, and opinions about  your most recent visit to our library.  We invite you to help us describe the great learning opportunities, return on educational investment, and value of the Harris County Libraries as well as informing us of the new services you would like to see added. Legal Assistance @ North Channel Library

legal helpOur popular "Ask A Lawyer" program will be held this Saturday, October 12th from 11 am - 12:30 pm.  This free legal clinic is presented by Angela D. Johnson, Attorney at Law.  Ms. Johnson will be answering legal questions and addressing issues that are important to the community.  Please join us for a chance for some free legal guidance.

Strings Attached

Ojos de Dios by the Crafty CrowThe Strings Attached Needlecraft Group will be celebrating Hispanic Heritage Month by creating "Ojos de Dios," inspired by the Huichol peoples of western Mexico.  

Join us on Wednesday, Oct. 9 at 4:30 pm in the North Channel Branch meeting room. 

You are also welcome to bring your current project to show off or work on.  Knitting needles, crochet hooks and plenty of yarn will be provided to experiment with, so come on in and try something new.
