Hey teens-have you started your required summer reading yet?  The North Channel Library has the school reading lists for Channelview ISD, Galena Park ISD, and Sheldon ISD at the front desk.  Library copies are checking out fast so be sure to get your name on the list.  Don't wait as school is just around the corner!

LITTLE HOUSE ON THE EAST TEXAS PRAIRIE

Coastie the Boat is unable to sail to us Wednesday, July 7th at 2:30 pm, so Branch Librarian Carolyn Dial will present her program, "Little House on the East Texas Prairie." She will show early 1900's family crafts and tools used in daily life in East Texas--and kids will get to touch and hold these, too! Miss Kim will also provide a quilting craft. This program will be held in the Meeting Room, with school age children admitted first. If there is a need, a second program will be presented at 3:30 pm. SCRAPBOOKING @ YOUR LIBRARY!

Join scrapbooking expert Mia to learn the basics as well as advanced techniques this coming Saturday, July 10th. You can come any time between 10 am and 3 pm. This craft program is open to all ages: adults, teens and tweens! Miss Mia will provide sample materials to get you started.
