Storytimes Year-Round @ North Channel

Storytime funWith the start of summer you may have noticed all the extra children's programming we do.  But don't forget about our year-round storytime programs too!  As you can see in this picture from our preschool storytime, we have lots of fun!  Our storytime schedule is:

Toddler Time (18 months - 3 years) every Tuesday at 10:30 am

Preschool Storytime (3 years - 6 years) every Tuesday at 1:30 pm

Babytime Storytime (0 to 18 months) every Thursday at 10:30 am

3 Little Pigs Puppet Show @ North Channel!

Carranza PuppetsOur Summer Reading Club has officially begun and we welcome it with our first big program of the summer, "The Three Little Pigs" by Carranza Puppets!  From Carranza Puppets website:

"This whimsical version of an old favorite is brought together by the charming Three Little Pigs and Gullible Wolf. Children of all ages will be delighted by the collapsing houses and the original music! This is a 30 minute hand puppet show with an additional marionette variety act."

We hope you will be able to join us this Wednesday, June 6th at 2:30pm for this delightful marionette show!

 

Spread the Word: Help Someone Learn to Read

Summer is a great time to relax and do more reading -- or to consider helping someone else gain basic reading skills. An opportunity to begin volunteering as a literacy tutor is right around the corner at High Meadows Branch Library, which hosts an orientation on June 23 from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m.
