Texas Snakes @ the Library

* Tickets required

Snakes in the library? You bet!  This is a great opportunity for children to learn why we need snakes in our environment and what to do if they see a snake.

According to Texas A & M University, "The great state of Texas is home to 37 different species of snakes, and
surprisingly, only four of those are venomous."

Teens and Tweens: Zombie Survival Week @ the Library

This week, the Atascocita Branch Library is getting prepped for the Zombie Apocalypse!

Join us on Wednesay, June 12th at 3pm for Zombie Survival Guide. Learn survival basics, sample MREs, and create a mini-survival kit from a mint tin.

On Thursday, June 13th at 3pm, make a Paracord Wristband to add to your survival kit. It's fashionable and handy.

Both programs are suitable for tweens and teens (ages 10-18 years old). You do not need tickets or reservations but supplies are limited.
