Nest week, we will be celebrating Valentine's Day during our storytimes. These programs are free for children and their families.  We look forward to seeing you!

Monday, Feb. 11th @ 7:00 pm, Family Storytime

Wednesday, Feb. 13th @ 1:30 pm, Toddler Storytime

Thursday, Feb. 14th @ 10:00 am, Pre-School Storytime

The 2013-2014 Texas Bluebonnet Books Are Now On Display

We have recently placed the new 2013 - 2014 Bluebonnet nominees on display in the Children's area. These items are often included in required reading lists and are recommended  for grades 3-6. Each year children throughout Texas get to vote of their favorite book. 

If your child is looking for something else to read, the Texas Bluebonnet Award Winners list is a great place to start. As I have stated before, these items have been chosen by children, so typically everyone likes them.  

Stories, Songs, Puppets and More

Family Storytime is held every Monday night provided that the library is open.

During our weekly storytime program, children and their families will enjoy books, songs, and other early literacy activities. Frequently, crafts are also provided, but may not be appropriate for children under 3 years old. Please be aware that supplies are limited.

All HCPL locations will be closed on Monday, January 21st in observance of Martin Luther King Day.  We will reopen on Tuesday for regular business hours.
