Live Jazz Performance @ the Library!

Come join in our celebration of Black History Month on Monday, Feb. 28th @ 4:00 pm.

The Hargrave High School Jazz Band, Directed by Brian Best, will be performing smooth and soulful sounds in the main area of the library.  This program is free and is open to all ages. 

Blues music, the foundation of Jazz, is an African-American derived music coming from spirituals, hymns and work songs.

Celebrate Lunar New Year @ the Library

Gung Hay Fat Choy!

Families are invited to join the Lunar New Year activities that will be held on Tuesday, Feb. 1st @ 4:00 pm. This is a wonderful opportunity for children to broaden the cultural learning. 

During the program Ms Susan and I will share a few of our favorite books, and children may create a Chinese zodiac craft. 

I have inculed a booklist and craft ideas below for those of you who are not able to attend.
