Friends of the Parker Williams Library Board President Ed Jackson and library staff this month installed an additional chair rail in the library's program room for a future room makeover. (Right, above) Assistant Branch Librarian Candi uses a nail gun to fasten the new rail to the wall. (Left, above) Jackson measures the rail, which is designed to protect the wall from dents caused by chairs.

The room renovations are being funded by the Friends group, which raises money from its book sales for library programs and special projects. The next Friends of the Parker Williams Library book sale will be from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday, March 27.
