2010 Reader Nation Winner!

Crystal Hessong

The 2010 Reader Nation winner is Crystal Hessong.  She has been a reader all of her life and especially enjoyed recording her books online.  Her favorite book is the classic Watership Down because it has richly developed characters and settings.  The Amazon gift card will be used for books, of course.

Self-Check Machines

We have three new self-check machines that give customers the option to check out their own materials.  It is now even faster to pick up items on the hold shelf, check out and be on the way.  We thank the Villages for their help with this purchase.

Summer Reading Program Success

The Summer Reading Program that ended on August 7th had a total of 308 branch participants.  These individuals signed up, read or listened to books and recorded them online.  There were 234 children, 22 teens and 52 adults who registered.   If you missed the chance this summer be watching next summer when we will do it again.  This program gives you a chance to record titles, rate the books and even write your opinions.  Even a chance to win a prize!
