Star of Hope Mission reaches out to almost 1,000 homeless Houstonians
everyday, many of the clients are babies and toddlers. The Mission uses
about 1,200 diapers each week between its two family facilities and is in
constant need of diapers, especially the large size. There will be a bin at the West University Library from Tuesday August 13 through Friday August 16 to collect diapers and other non-perishable baby supplies.
Kids - Join us Wednesday August 14 at 3 PM for an assortment of leftover crafts. If you missed the Australia craft program or the butterfly mobile program, here is your chance to make some fun items. We have craft supplies left over from this summer and children are invited to attend and make a craft or two while supplies last. We may even have coloring sheets for younger children.
Information for Persons with Disabilities: Harris County Public Library will make reasonable accommodations for persons with disabilities who are interested in attending library programs. To make a request for yourself or someone you know, please notify the Branch Librarian two working days in advance of the program.
