Workforce Solutions Job Search Seminars Thursday @ 1:30

Workforce Solutions will continue to offer semi-monthly Job Search Seminars at the Barbara Bush Branch Library. The seminars will be held from 1:30-3:30 in the Robin Bush Activity room on the 2nd and 4th Thursdays of the month. Come and learn how to search for a job more effectively and learn how to make the most of your skills.

The last week for Artist, Roberta Sajda at the Library

This is the last week to see the work of artist, Roberta Sajda at the library. Her paintings are on the 2nd floor in the Art Alcove. Roberta does still life, trees and portraits. Her graphite portraits are drawn from your photographs.

Roberta Sajda is an award winning artist and photographer. She has studios in Spring, TX and in Cloudcroft, NM.

Caregiver Support Group

Photo Courtesy of Jupiter ImagesThe Barbara Bush Branch Library is happy to host a newly established caregivers support group for the area. This is a group that meets on the first and third Fridays of the month. Each session covers a new topic and caregivers can share and learn from each other.

The next meeting is tomorrow, March 21, at 10 am in our Robin Bush Room.

 

We All Scream For Ice Cream

I scream, you scream, we all scream for Ice Cream! Right? Absolutely! The weather’s warming up too. So guess what? Carl Wunsche High School National Honor Society Students are providing a program for you all to gain more exposure to some fun science like making ice cream on your own. Isn’t that amazingly good? I know that’s one thing you’d all want to know! So come and join us on Wednesday, March 26th 2014 from 4pm - 5pm in the Robin Bush Activity Room

Ongoing Computer Classes at the Barbara Bush Branch Library

Dave Smith, computer instructor, will be teaching seven different computer classes at the Barbara Bush Branch Library in March 2014. The classes are Computer Basics, Introduction to the Internet, Email, MS Word, MS Excel, MS PowerPoint, and MS Publisher.
He also teaches three additional classes which are offered at various times throughout the year. These are Social Media, the Kindle, and Digital Photography. Please call for the dates and times of the classes and to register.
Each class meets for a single 2-hour session. As class size is limited to 12 people, pre-registration is required for each class. Registration is on a first-come, first-served basis. Registration opens 30 days prior the class.
