Great Books

The Great Books Discussion Group will meet in the WCR Conference Room of the Barbara Bush Branch Library at 6817 Cypresswood Drive.  The title this month is "The Illiad" by Homer. Classic Movie Morning

On Friday, March 9, Classic Movie Morning will show a film from 1944 starring Cary Grant. "An easy going drama critic discovers that his kind and gentle Aunts Abby and Martha have a bizarre habit of poisoning gentlemen callers and burying them in the cellar."  The movie is scheduled to start at 10:00 am in the Earl Elliott Meeting Room on the first floor. Come and enjoy the movie.

March is Women's History Month

March is Women's History Month,and it's a great time to reflect on all of the ways that women have left their mark on the world. A fun way to learn and celebrate women in history is through the movies, whether you're watching biographies on iconic women, or learning about their struggles through documentaries and historic films.
