Cloudy With A Chance of Meatballs!

When it rains we say it rains cats and dogs…but what if it rained pancakes and syrup or spaghetti and meatballs? That’s the forecast!! On Tuesday @ 2 p.m. during Preschool Storytime we are going to read Cloudy with a Chance of Meatballs. The movie is coming up in theatres on September 18th so it would be treat to read the original story before watching the movie. Get your children’s imaginations rolling! 

Older children 8 to 12 years will investigate bones during Silly Science Club's Bare Bones! meeting on Tuesday, September 15th at 4:30pm. 

Don't forget Book Buddies meet Monday, September 14th at 4:30pm!  Bring your Book Buddy and have fun talking about books!

Summary: "Janie Crawford, a Southern Black woman in the 1930's, journeys from being a free-spirited girl to a woman of independence and substance."

Barbara Bush Branch Evening Book Club

                 Date of Next Meeting: Tuesday October 13, 7:00pm, Women's Council of Realtors Conference Room (WCR). Title to be discussed Land of Marvels by Barry Unsworth. Summary: "In this thriller set in the Middle East of 1914, Somerville, a British archaeologist, and his team are excavating a long-buried Assyrian palace when an American geologist from an oil company posing as an archaeologist arrives one day and insinuates himself into Somerville's group." Next Selection: "Movie Night" viewing of a movie based on a book by Kim Edwards. The group will meet in the Earl Elliott Room in November.
