Are you 60+ and having trouble getting started with computers?

Drop in to the Seniors Help Session in the Barbara Bush Library Friends computer Lab on July 20th from 10 am to 12 pm and let our volunteers give you some assistance. No registration is required.

Free MFAH Trip for Families!

The Barbara Bush Library in conjuction with The Museum of Fine Arts Houston will offer to families a free bus trip to the Museum for "Target Free First Sunday Giddy Up! Art of the American West",  Sunday, August 1, 2010.  We depart from the back parking lot of the library at noon and return at 5PM.

All children MUST be accompanied by an adult. When you make reservations, each individual must be included.

Please call 281-376-4610 or come to the Children's Services Information Desk to register for the fun activities planned at the MFAH as soon as possible. Seating is limited.

 

Just For Kids July 13 to 15, Snakes, Trains and Cute Movie Characters Living In Hawaii!

Next week’s programs for children of all ages include: Snakes! Snakes! Snakes! “Snakeman” Thomas Davis brings a variety of snakes for children to enjoy. Don’t miss this event on Tuesday, July 13 at 3pm in the Community Center Activity Room: an animated movie featuring two cute characters living in Hawaii on Wednesday, July 14 at 2:30 in the library Earl Elliot Room: and a Build Your Own Train Craft on Thursday, July 15 at 3pm in the Community Center Activity Room. It’s not too late to join the Summer Reading Club and Catch the Reading Express! Have fun reading!

A Photographic Presentation by the NW Houston Photo Club is on display at the Barbara Bush Library

Pictures from the NW Houston Photo Club will be on display for the month of July on the second floor of the Barbara Bush Branch Library.  Nature photgraphy, landscape, people, marco and studio work are examples of the interests and expertise of the members of the club.  Come and enjoy the beautiful pictures.
