ipads at Evelyn Meador Branch Library

The Evelyn Meador Branch Library has ipads! Last Friday Ms. Pearson (that's me!) got the chance to work with Girl Scout Troop 1844 on badge requirements.  We used the branch's ipads to research which foods are grown in our area and when they are in season for the scouts' Locavore badge.  If your group would like to use one or all of the branch's seven ipads for an onsite program please contact Greg Burns, the branch librarian, to make arrangements.  You can also check out the ipads for use in the library with your Harris County Public Library card.  You must be a card holder for thirty days before you can check out an ipad or laptop.  See ya soon!

YouTube Show and Tell!

Come join us in the Children's Activity Space for YouTube Show and Tell! Have an awesome YouTube video that you're just dying to show everyone? Pull it up on our iPads and Laptops and if approved we'll bring it up on the big screen for everyone to see! It's happening March 8th from 4-5pm in the Children's Activity Space.

A New Way to Read

ipad

If you are still trying to figure out that whole e-book thing, we invite you to join us for an informal and fun way to learn about e-readers and gain the confidence you need to become one yourself.  This is not a class session, but rather an opportunity to learn and explore.

We will have devices for you to play with or you can bring your own.

Join us Wednesday, March 7th @ 10:30 AM in the Meeting Room of the library.

This event is free and open to the public.

This Month's Craft: Quilling!

Join us in the Meeting Room for February's joint Teen and Children's craft - paper quilling. What creative creations can you forge out of paper alone? Join us in the meeting room at 4pm!
