Where Will the New Evelyn Meador Branch Be Located?

Ever since the plans for a new Evelyn Meador Branch in Seabrook were announced, people have been asking me if the new building will be in the same location. Good question. The new building will actually be directly across the parking lot from the old building. That is the highest point of ground on the property, and the site will be raised another two feet before construction begins. The current scenario is that the old building will be torn down before work on the new one begins. This will give the contractors much more room to work. The site of the old building will be used as part of the new parking lot. In my next post, I'll highlight some of the great features planned for the new building.

Regular Hours Resume September 8

During the heat emergency this summer, branches opened at 10 AM Monday-Friday. Regular hours resume for all branch locations on Tuesday, September 8.  Regular hours are listed on each branch page as well as the main locations page.

Evelyn Meador Branch Has a Winner!

Barbara Whelton is the winner of the 2009 Adult Summer Reading Program drawing at the Evelyn Meador Branch!  Barbara has been a reader all of her life, and has a long association with libraries.  Her children have grown up reading as well.  She  plans to give her $50 gift certificate to her son for his birthday. Sounds like a good birthday present to me!

Evelyn Meador Branch Storytime

EV StorytimeCalling all parents with preschool age children!  Don't forget that Storytime is all year round.  Ms. Pearson will be at the Seabrook Community House every Wednesday morning at 10:30, waiting to share stories and song, fun and games.
