Black History Month Book Discussion

Bass Reeves was the first African American to serve as deputy U.S. marshal in the Oklahoma Territory.  Read The Legend of Bass Reeves: Being the True and Fictional Account of the Most Valiant Marshal in the West by Gary Paulsen.  Then join us on Thursday, February 27 at 2 pm for a discussion about the book and this little-known and fascinating lawman.

Celebrate Black History Month with the Kouman Ke'le' African Dance and Drum Ensemble!

Join us as we celebrate Black History month with the Kouman Ke'le' African Dance and Drum Ensemble! The Houston based Kouman Ke'le troup performs traditional West, South, and Congolese African Dance and we're very excited to host them this coming Saturday (February 8th, 2014), at 2:30 pm in the meeting room. Space is limited, so show up early to get a ticket! It is fun for all ages!
