Every year, Library Journal magazine chooses the best genre fiction of the year. Here are their choices for Best Mystery of 2012.
Box, CJ   Force of Nature: A Joe Picket t Novel [2].  This series has been running for a long time, but LJ ccover of A Fatal Winteralled this a “stunningly fresh entry.”
Locke, Attica. The Cutting Season [3].   A Louisiana plantation manager solves a current murder and one in the distant past in a “genre-transcending novel.”
Malliet, GM. A Fatal Winter: A Max Tudor Novel [4].  Rich twins die and Max Tudor steps in to solve the case with “sly humor and astute observations.”
May, Peter. The Blackhouse [5].   This opens a new trilogy and got a glowing review.
