Please join us in welcoming Margott Williams, who will be talking to us about the history of Olivewood Cemetery. Located near a bend of White Oak Bayou, Olivewood Cemetery is the city’s first incorporated African American cemetery. Ms. Williams will talk about the past, present and future of the cemetery, why it is important to save the cemetery, and give some history of those buried there.
