Let your ears do your reading

I love listening to books. It’s how I reward myself when I have to do household chores. If you also enjoy listening to books the Harris County website is where you can find a large variety of e-books.  A few steps on your home computer with Internet access are all that is needed to download your choices. 

  • Click on HCPL digital media Catalog [1] on the Harris County Public Library Website.
  • Catalog appears with the digital media choices.
  • Select the type of media wanted.
  • Put item on hold, wish list or checkout.
  • Enter your library card number
  • Download the “Overdrive” software.

Now you can enjoy listening to your book in your computer or whatever other media allowed. The lending period is 14 days. And guess what? No fines!!
