Our six-month-old evening book club will read Diane Mott Davidson's culinary mystery, Tough Cookie, [2] for our August 17 meeting. The book follows Colorado caterer Goldy Bear, and since a number of intriguing recipes are included, I thought it would be fun to sample one of them. The Chocolate Coma Cookies look delicious and fairly straightforward to make -- so if you're feeling adventurous, please join us as we discuss the mystery and consume chocolate. We will meet as usual in the library meeting room at 6:30 PM.
