Melusine [2] is the first entry in Sarah Monette's inventive, and unique series about Felix, a powerful but tortured magician, and Mildmay, a cat burglar and assassin. Set in the ancient, splendid, and corrupt city of Melusine, the two meet and form an unexpected partnership to deal with a great danger. The other works in the series are The Virtu [3], The Mirador [4], and Corambis [5].
