When I turned 18, I got an invitation in the mail to join the American Association of Retired Persons [2]. Obviously, I couldn’t join then, but I’m looking forward to getting older for two reasons: the social get-togethers and the discounts. When it comes to the latter, here’s the book I’m going to read from cover to cover: Unbelievably Good Deals and Great Adventures That You Absolutely Can’t Get Unless You’re Over 50 [3] by Joan Rattner Heilman [4]. Only *ahem* a handful years to wait!
