well, okay, you've already tried the books Miss Mary suggested in her blog for you to try while waiting for Wimpy Kid #4 to come, so here are even more to try while you're waiting (yay!). A couple of these are so new they still say "on order" in the catalog.
Herbert’s Wormhole - Herbert's jungle gym transforms into a wormhole to 100 years in the future where the world is populated by G'Daliens (aliens that talk with Australian accents) who look like fake-haired giant squids. The aliens think that Herbert and his friend are there to kill them.
The Lunch Lady and the Cyborg Substitute The school lunch lady is a secret crime fighter who uncovers an evil plot to replace all the popular teachers with robots.
The Last Invisible Boy This one is sad – it’s about a boy who starts turning invisible when his dad dies, but if you liked the pictures in Wimpy Kid, you’d like this one, too.
Alvin Ho: allergic to girls, school, and other scary things You probably already know about this one since it's a Bluebonnet Book, but did you know the library already has the second Alvin Ho book?
Knights of the Lunch Table by Frank Cammuso, a graphic novel that's half “King Arthur” and half “geeks who triumph over bullies.” Artie King (get it-- Artie – short for Arthur – King) goes to Camelot Middle School (get it--Camelot) ok, you get it.
Max Quigley: technically not a bully . Max Quigley’s punishment for pulling a prank on a “geeky” classmate is to be tutored by him.
TheSecret Science alliance and the copycat crook . When Julian starts a new school, he is sure he will no longer be dumped in garbage cans because he’s nerdy, but then he meets two other secret scientists and they work together to thwart an evil scientists dastardly plans.
