[2]HCPL's Book Bites [3] column appears monthly in Houston Family Magazine [2]. Each column features suggested books for toddlers through teens. Get the new list every month in the magazine, available at all of our branches. Previous columns [4].

Toddlers (Ages 1-3)
[5]	I Love Our Earth [5] by Bill Martin, Jr. and Michael Sampson The authors of "I Love Our Earth" celebrate the beauty of the earth through the changing seasons. The many sights, sounds, and colors are highlighted in vivid photographs that capture the wonder of Earth.
Picture Books (Pre K-K)
[6]	The Great Kapok Tree [6] by Lynne Cherry The many different animals that live in a great Kapok tree in the Brazilian rainforest try to convince a man with an ax the importance of not cutting down their home.
Early Readers (Grades 1-3)

Children's Fiction (Grades 4-6)
