I’m always on the lookout for great paranormal series for Tomball’s paranormal book club, and Soulless [2] by Gail Carriger [3] is a great mix of vampires, werewolves, steampunk [4], and Victorian spinsters. The book centers around Miss Alexia Tarrabotti, a young woman in Victorian England who has the misfortune of accidently killing a vampire while at a party. When a member of the Queen’s government is sent to investigate, they must find out what is happening to all of England’s supernaturals. This is the first book in what will be a series, and is great for those who love their vampire novels with a touch of Jane Austen.
