I have a confession: I love Lifetime movies based on Nora Roberts' novels. I can practically hear you all groaning, but I just can’t help it. They are so wonderfully ridiculous! Watching one is a little bit like watching a train wreck – you know you shouldn’t watch, but you just can’t seem to look away.
Last year Lifetime aired four new Nora Roberts TV movie adaptations, and I recently watched two of them. Tribute , starring Brittany Murphy and Jason Lewis, was astonishingly watchable and featured a decent mystery. Northern Lights , starring LeAnn Rimes and Eddie Cibrian, was, well… Let’s call it astonishing and leave it at that.
Honestly, even the truly ridiculous Lifetime movies are worth watching on a rainy day. If you have somehow managed to miss all the Nora Roberts movies, or you just want to watch them again and bask in the cheesiness, browse through the HCPL catalog and request your copy today!
