Did you ever wonder what happens to the reviews you write for the Adult Summer Reading Program? For one thing, they're linked to the library's catalog and posted on the ASRP page of the library's website. Harris County readers can use them to help decide what they might like to read next, based on your recommendations. Librarians also read these reviews to keep in touch with popular titles and discover new titles that would be good to add to the library's collection. Just this month, these titles (and more!) were ordered based on positive Reader Nation reviews:
A Soft Place to Land by Susan Rebecca White "Such a touching book about two sisters and their journey through life after a tragic accident leaves both their parents dead."
Rooms by James L. Rubart "Really good book. Makes you look at yourself and think."
A Highlander's Homecoming by Melissa Mayhue "I would recommend this titile to anyone who enjoys reading romance books."
A Taste of Honey: Stories by Jabari Asim "The book reads like a novel, and the characters are beautifully drawn and fleshed out. I really enjoyed reading this one."
A Thousand Cuts by Simon Lelic "I really enjoyed reading this book because of the way the whole, true story emerges during the series of witness interviews."
Black Blade Blues by John A. Pitts "I enjoyed the concepts of this urban fantasy, the use of Norse mythology with modern sensibilities was clever."
