Banned Books Week at Fairbanks Library

Banned Books Week started on September 25th and ends on October 2nd. Our display has been up for over a week but only one book has been checked out so far. We see people wander over to look curiously at the titles but no one is checking them out. The staff just wants to remind all of our customers that this display is for you and you are encouraged to read these books!

Here are a some of the books currently on display:

Bookseller of Kabul The Bookseller of Kabul [1] by Asne Seierstad; translated by Ingrid Christopherson

Eclipse Eclipse [2] by Stephenie Meyers (as well as all of the other Twilight series titles)

Adventures of Huckleberry Finn The Adventures of Huckleberry Finn [3] by Mark Twain
