Patterns in the Sand: A Seaside Knitters Mystery by Sally Goldenbaum. Sea Harbor, Massachusetts is a small community where everyone knows everyone else and most of their business. They have a small art colony which is encouraged and supported by the locals. One Friday evening in the summer a young woman comes to town to give classes on textile art at the Sea Side Knitting Studio. Several of the Seaside Knitters introduce her to the local art and artists during Art Night; a colorful summer event in Sea Harbor. In the midst of the fun, food and conversation the well known artist Aidan Peabody is found dead in the garden by his gallery. Suspicion immediately falls on the newcomer but the Seaside Knitters think it is someone local. They begin to investigate and uncover more secrets than they expect, including the distribution of Aidan Peabody’s surprisingly large estate.
