That line from Shakespeare's A Midsummer Night's Dream [2], also adapted in the movie Seabiscuit [3], comes to mind because of a recent change at Crosby Branch Library. Library customers may have noticed a big improvement in the speed of the library's internet. That is due to the fact that fiber optics [4] have arrived! Our computers are now up and running at the speed of fiber optic light [5]. Faster internet service makes pursuing on-line information [6] and life enrichment activities [7] at the library much quicker and easier. Staff are pleased to offer speedier reference and check-out service at the front desk, too. So, though she be but a little branch, Crosby Library, complete with fiber optically enhanced technology, is a fierce community resource. We welcome you to visit and enjoy this new amenity!
