Friendship Day takes place the first Sunday of August and is celebrated all over the world. It is believed that the U.S. Congress created the holiday in 1935.
So what do you do on Friendship Day? Well for starters, you can say hello to new and old friends by giving them a call or sending a greeting card. If you're on Facebook [1], you can use your status update to tell your friends about Friendship Day and encourage them to spread the word.
Here are some friendship books that we have checked in at Fairbanks:
[2] It's Like This, Cat [2] by Emily Neville
[3] Cocktails for Three [3] by Madeleine Wickham
[4] The Better Man: A Novel [4]by Anita Nair
