As most of us don't have the money to be world travelers, we can use books to experience the sights and culture and languages of faraway places. Here are a smattering of books set in a variety of places around the world:

Mirror [5]by Jeannie Baker. In Sydney, Australia, and in Morocco, two boys and their families have a day of shopping.

Waiting for the biblioburro [11] by Monica Brown. A girl in Colombia waits for the man who brings library books on two burros. (Maybe you say the show on Channel 8 about the real Biblioburro?)
