Getting a library card is easy and the first card is free!
Step 1: Fill out a registration form for each individual who wants a card. Registration Forms [2]are available in both English [3] and Spanish [4].
Step 2: You can download a registration form by clicking one of the links above, and can be filled out online.
Step 3: Please be aware that you will not be able to save this data, and therefore; you will need to print this information. If you do not have a computer, you can fill out an application at any Harris County Public Library.
Step 4: Sign your library card application. Parents must sign the library card application for anyone under 18 years of age.
Step 5: Bring the completed form along with proof of mailing address to any branch library. Cards are issued at the time of application, and you may check out materials that day!
