Attention all Mine Craft players!!

Attention all minecraft players!!!  Always in trouble at the library because you are excited about playing your minecraft game. Forget your manners and get ousted for bad language.  Come join us in the Computer Lab for Minecraft Club.  It will be scheduled for every Tues and Thurs evening from 5  pm until 6:30 pm.  There is a door on the lab and we are able to share our excitement at a low level with our friends and not get in trouble.

Future Prep kicks off with a Resume Workshop!

Future prep is a series of programs designed to help teenagers think about life after High School. Whether they know exactly what they want to do and need help figuring out how to get there, or if they haven't given it much thought and want to explore a few different options, Future Prep programs will help Aldine teens get to where they want to go.

Scary Books! YA display

Hey teens, are you looking for a new bone chilling book? Well, look no further then the YA book display area! There are books about ghosts, vampires, killers, zombies, and other horrors that will make you want to leave that lights on at night, or at least scream out once... or twice... maybe a few times...

Goodbye!

Eight years ago, I came to the Aldine Library, leaving my family behind in Louisiana. At first I was so homesick! But the wonderful staff and customers here soon made me feel at home.  I’ve had such wonderful time here with you all! There have been challenges, but I’ve had so much fun with you. I’ve grown and learned and become a better manager for being here.I’m off to a new assignment at the Barbara Bush Library. I’m excited about my new place but I will always be so grateful for my time here. It has been an honor and a joy to work at the Aldine Library. Thank you and goodbye!

A Deep Sadness

Like the rest of the Aldine community, we were shocked and saddened by the death of Stovall Middle School student, Jose Luis Meraz. When someone so young dies, it is such a great tragedy. Our thoughts and prayers are with the Meraz family and  the staff and students at Stovall Middle School.
