Announcing the Fairbanks Branch Library's new installment of StoryWalk ® @ Bane Park. This month we are excited to be celebrating the life of Martin Luther King, Jr.. Join us as we share the story I Have a Dream by Martin Luther King, Jr with paintings by Kadir Nelson.
Come walk and read along with Honey Bear and Friendly Fox as they lead you through the pages of this inspiring book. Join us also for our kick-off program on Saturday, January 8th at 10:00 am. at Bane Park. We will be creating Stones of Hope. Come create a stone of hope for yourself and leave one for someone else to find along the path.
Story Walk® experiences are a great way for families to engage in reading together and gain important early literacy skills while exploring the great outdoors. You will see our first StoryWalk® sign as you enter the park. Follow the signs as they lead readers on an adventure around the Bane Park pond ending up at the playground. Bane Park is a Precinct 4 park and is located at 9600 W Little York Rd, Houston, TX 77040, across the parking lot from the Fairbanks Branch Library.
Come walk, read and grow with us at Bane Park!
The StoryWalk® Project was created by Anne Ferguson of Montpelier, VT and developed in collaboration with the Vermont Bicycle & Pedestrian Coalition (VBPC) and the Kellogg Hubbard Library. Storywalk® is a registered service mark owned by Ms. Ferguson.
