The Strings Attached group at North Channel issued a challenge to interested people to make knitted or crocheted hats for babies in local NICUs during January and February. Members answered with an astounding 230 hats. These hats will be delivered to local hospitals in March. Thank you for all the wonderful creations!
Hoping to draw on this success, Strings Attached is again issuing a challenge. For the next three months, March, April and May, we will be collecting 6 inch granny squares to create lap quilts. The granny squares can be crocheted, knitted, quilted or embroidered. The granny squares will be collected and joined into lap quilts and donated to area nursing home residents. Patterns will be available to pick up for free at the front desk or you may use any pattern you choose.
