Today, April 30, is Arbor Day ! Arbor Day was first celebrated more than one hundred years ago, in 1872, and is celebrated here on the last Friday in April. Arbor Day is a day to celebrate and plant trees, and for celebrating the forests. Celebrate Arbor Day by planting a tree at your house, or by learning about trees and forests. Here are a few books from the library that might help you choose a tree for your yard, and will help you learn more about trees and about Arbor Day.
