The North Channel Book Club will turn to the dark and spooky for the October discussion of “The Turn of the Screw ” by Henry James. A classic of example of Victorian ghost stories, this psychological thriller focuses on a young governess and her two troubled young charges. Are the children being haunted by ghosts or is the governess simply losing her mind? James’ novella will leave you guessing (and maybe a little afraid of the dark.)
The Book Club will meet on the main floor on Wednesday, October 27, at 10 am. The Book Club selection for November will be "The Omnivore's Dilemma " by Michael Pollan.
