What is the Early Learning Quality Network?
In partnership with Harris County and CHILDREN AT RISK, Harris County Public Library is leading a community-driven approach to supporting quality improvement in child care settings for children 0-8.
What are we trying to do?
Our goal is to improve early learning and child care quality by partnering with families, caregivers, and child care providers to build a network of local organizations and community members focused on early child care improvement in 77033 and 77379.
How will we meet this goal?
Step 1
ELQN will facilitate community conversations and distribute surveys to better understand your needs and point of view on the state of early childhood quality in your neighborhood
Step 2
ELQN will establish an Advisory Committee and work with the committee to analyze and prioritize the community feedback with the goal of identifying challenges and recommending solutions.
Step 3
ELQN will facilitate the development of a community-driven Child Care Quality Action Plan (CCQAP) with defined steps to improve local community child care quality, and support the overall well-being and development of our youngest community members.
