SYNC is a free summer audiobook program for young adults. From May 15th to August 13th, SYNC gives away two complete audiobook downloads a week – a current young adult title along with a thematically paired classic or required summer reading title. Krafty Kids

Join us at the Octavia Fields Branch Library on Wednesday, May 7, at 4:30 pm, for Krafty Kids.  We will be making Tea Bag Dispensers for Mother's Day.  All materials are provided.  This program is for children ages 6-12.

What's Going On This Week?

I know everyone is wondering, what's going on this week at Octavia Fields? Well, first , we have our Friends of the Library Book Sale! Great prices, great selections, come on down and stock up for the summertime!! We also have our Crafty Adult program on Wednesday at 4:30 pm, they'll be making tinted Mason Jars.. sounds like fun!  Don't forget to sign up first, spaces are limited.

If its genealogy you're seeking, you're in luck.. sponsored by the Kingwood Texas Family History Center, we'll have a workshop on Thursday morning from 10:30 am to 12:30 pm. Get signed up for a FREE FamilySearch account and learn how to research..

Friends of the Library Book Sale

The Friends of the Octavia Fields Library will be having their Spring Book Sale on Saturday, April 19th through Thursday, April 24th.  All proceeds from the Book Sale go to the Friends of Octavia Fields Library, and make library programming possible.  Programming includes children’s and young adult crafts, the summer reading program, the adult book club, and, much more!

Teen Craft

We will be making Seed Paper Bookmarks for this month's Teen Craft.  Learn about the art of paper making and create a bookmark that can be used to start a garden.  This program is for teens ages 11-18.  We will be in meeting in the activity room on Tuesday, April 8th at 4:30pm.  Please contact the library for more information.
