Texas America 250

In 2026, America commemorates and celebrates the 250th anniversary of the signing of the Declaration of Independence.

Harris County Public Library will present special events throughout the year to encourage celebration, reflection, and commemoration and to promote civic engagement. Additionally, HCPL branches will host the Texas State Library and Archives Commission's Texas America250 exhibit which highlights historically significant Texas Treasures from TSLAC's collections.
