Katy Branch - Who Dun It@ the Library?

Title to be discussed:  The Girl in the Glass by Jeffrey Ford.  Date of meeting:  Saturday, April 3, 10:30am.  During the Great Depression, shysters scam New York's grieving rich with elaborate, ingeniously staged seances -- until an impossible occurrence changes everything.  Join the Katy Branch Mystery Group, which meets the first Saturday of every month.

The Week @ the Katy Library – March 15th Edition

Spring Break is upon us, and we’re celebrating at the Katy Branch Library with our 2nd Annual Dog Day on Saturday, 3/20 from 12-4pm.  We’ll have an exhibition hall with local dog-related vendors and organizations, rescued dogs available for adoption, dog crafts, and reading to dogs for the kids.  Don’t miss it!

PAWS @ THE LIBRARY, READ TO A DOG

The Reading Education Assistance dogs will be at the Katy Branch Library on Saturday, March 20 from noon to 2:00 pm.  Children are invited to sign up to read their favorite animal story to one of these specially trained dogs.  These dogs along with their handlers provide an irresistible, fun environment for children to practice their reading skills.  This program has been used throughout the country and has been proven to encourage sturggling readers.  Call the library or stop by the Reference desk to sign up.
