ZumbAtomic: Thursday, April 7th at 4 pm

 The first Thursday of every month is ZumbAtomic FREE at the Kingwood Library. ZumbAtomic, designed especially for children ages 4-12 is a fun, energetic fitness party which incorporates urban dance styles like hip hop, reggaeton and pop with concepts such as coordination, discipline, confidence and teamwork. . Parents and siblings are welcome and encouraged to join  the fun.

Free AARP Tax Help

Tax season is nearly over, and there isn't much time left to file!  Representatives from the AARP have been here on Wednesdays for the last couple of months, in case you hadn't heard, and they'll be here for at least a couple more weeks.  Although all other library services will be closed, show up at our front door between now and April 13th on a Wednesday between 10:00 A.M. and 2:00 P.M. and head to the Community Room just inside to the right.  The earlier you arrive the better, since representatives have to finish at 2:00 P.M.  Be sure to take advantage of this free service here at your library!

Author Book Talk - Dr. Donnita Rogers

Be sure to join us this Monday, March 28th, from 7:00 to 8:30 P.M. as local author Dr. Donnita Rogers discusses her most recently published book, "Faces in the Fire: The Women of Beowulf."  Dr. Rogers has taught at Lonestar College and Kingwood High School, so she is a recognizable face here in the community.  Don't miss this free and informative program! 

Windy Weather Crafts and Wii Games in the Children's Area

"Mysterious Monday"  Children will be making papercup wind socks with Miss Penny on Monday, 3/28 at 4 pm in the Children's Activity Room.

"Thrilling Thursday" will be Wii games with Miss Christie on Thursday, 3/31 at 4 pm.

"Fabulous Friday" at the movie at 4 pm and FREE popcorn!

Pre School Story Time is every Tuesday at 10:30 am and 2:20 pm.  All ages are welcome.  Mother Goose Lapsit for babies to 18 months meets Thursdays at 11:15 am.

KIK Japan Relief Effort Event

Would you like to help someone abroad?  Knitting in Kingwood - KIK (formerly known as Yarn It, Darn It) will collect knitted hats to be sent to Japan for the relief effort. Come and drop off your completed hats on Saturday, April 2nd, between 10 A.M. and 12 P.M., at the Kingwood Library in the second floor Conference Room.  Don't miss this opportunity to help another in need!
