Fun for Whole Family: Ballunar Liftoff Festival

Picture of Hot Air BalloonsMark your calendars for a fun outdoor family event for the weekend of October 29, 30, & 31. The RE/MAX Ballunar Festival is an annual event that pays tribute to the achievement of human flight. It is held at the NASA/Johnson Space Center, 1201 Nasa Rd. 1. The gates open Friday, October 29 at 6 pm and there will be live music, entertainment, carnival rides, food, arts and crafts. On Saturday the day begins at 7:30 am with balloon navigational competition, skydivers, and air sport activities all day long. Fee to enter is $10 per car. See the RE/MAX Ballunar Liftoff Festival website for more information or call 281-488-7676. "Tell Us Your Story" Historical Video About La Porte

The City of La Porte will be presenting the Tell Us Your Story video project about La Porte history at the August Main Street Morning Brew.
