Summer Reading Program Prize Drawings

Join us on Monday, August 19 at 2:30 pm for the drawing for the Summer Reading Program prizes. We will be drawing for the Adult and Children's prize on Monday, the Teen prize will be drawn on Tuesday, August 20, 2013 along with a Teen Craft and Pizza party!  No, you don't have to be present to win, but it makes it oh so more exciting, don't you think? We hope to see you there!

Bike Rodeo Pictures

Bike RodeoWe had a great turnout for the Bike Rodeo at the Octavia Fields Library.  The Humble Police Department set up a fun course for riders.  Pictures from this event and other activities at the library can be seen here.  The Humble Observer was also on hand to take photos.  They can be seen here.  The Tribune has also posted a picture.

 

Bicycle Rodeo

bicycle rodeoJoin us at the Octavia Fields Branch Library on Thursday, July 25th @ 10:00 AM (that’s right, 10:00 AM in the morning) for a  “Bicycle Rodeo.”  Learn safety and bicycle skills taught by the Humble Police at the big parking lot behind the Civic Center.  You MUST bring your bicycle and helmet to participate. Then, we will have a “Rodeo” where you will use those new skills on an obstacle course. Let’s RODEO! YEE HAW!

Tuesday, July 9 @ 2:30 pm - Teen Craft - Decoupage Frames  Sign up is required.  Call the library (281-466-337) or sign up at the Registration Station inside the library.

Wednesday, July 10 @ 2:30 pm - Teen Board Games

Tuesday, July 16 @ 2:30 pm - Movie   Please contact the library for the exact title.  The movie is rated PG-13.

Baby Chicks and Bunnies at the Library....Washcloth, that is!

There were baby chicks and bunnies everywhere at our recent Children's Craft.  Parents and children made their own washcloth chicks and bunnies to stuff their Easter baskets.  If you missed the craft you can link to Own Two Hands to find the instructions.
