Hispanic Heritage Events

Hispanic Heritage Month runs September 15 – October 15, and we have several programs planned here at Baldwin Boettcher.

Story Time on the Go!

Did you know Ms. Nancy is available to present a story time, puppet show, or science program at your school, day care, or meeting place?

Would you like the library present at your open house or a meeting to provide information about our services and issue library cards?

Call the library at 281-821-1320, and ask for Ms Nancy.  She will coordinate a time for her visit with you.

Regular Hours Resume September 8

During the heat emergency this summer, branches opened at 10 AM Monday-Friday. Regular hours resume for all branch locations on Tuesday, September 8.  Regular hours are listed on each branch page as well as the main locations page.

Are you a strategist …….a future Bobby Fischer?

Why don’t you come to the Chess Club at Baldwin Boettcher Library? The chess aficionados meet on alternating Fridays at 4:30 pm. All ages are welcome and no experience is necessary. This is an ongoing program for young adults but adult experience is much appreciated. If possible come with your young adult child and experience some excellent bonding time. Meeting dates for September and October 2009 are: 9/11, 9/25, 10/9 and 10/23.

Still Feel the Need to Purchase a Book?

Come browse the Friends of the Library book nook.  You will find gently used books for sale.  The prices are well worth the trip.  Paperbacks go for 25 to 50 cents, while hardback books sell for $1.00.

Do you still have a VHS player at home? The Friends of the Baldwin Boettcher Library are selling donated VHS tapes for 50 cents to $1.00.

So come into the library and purchase a book or movie from our Friends group to support our programming at the Baldwin Boettcher Library.
