Workforce Solutions Job Search Seminar

On Thursday, May 20 at 1:30 the library will present a seminar by Workforce Solutions titled "Interviewing." Get advice on effective interviewing techniques, how to respond appropriately to common interview questions, and how to negotiate salary and benefits for your new job.  The interview is where jobs are won or lost. Ensure that your chances of getting the job are high.

The seminar will be held in the Earl Elliott meeting room of the library, which is located at 6817 Cypresswood Drive in Spring. Call 281-376-4610 for more information. No registration is required. There will be no employer's representatives present at the seminar.

Junior Guild gift

Susan McKinney of the Junior Guild, Inc., presents Branch Librarian Nancy Agafitei with a check for $1,650 to be used to purchase children's books for the library. This organization has supported the library with generous donations and with volunteer service hours for many years.
