This is the way to spread literacy and share the love of reading (and Star Wars) with your child!
Wednesday, March 1, 2023 was not just the premiere of the much anticipated third season of The Mandalorian, but this year it was also World Read Aloud Day! World Read Aloud Day is celebrated on the first Wednesday of March every year and was created to promote the importance of sharing stories and to celebrate the power of reading. Visit LitWorld.org, opens a new window to find out more and find activities for World Read Aloud Day.
If you are reading this blog after March 1, you can still read aloud to the Grogus in your life! All of March is National Reading Month, so start encouraging the young readers in your life to read every day, even if it is just for 15 minutes. By creating fun and positive experiences with books you are:
- Bonding with your child
- Fostering a love of books
- Inspiring them to become lifelong readers and learners
To celebrate both Star Wars and early literacy, check out a Star Wars picture book that parents, like Din Djarin, can share with their precious cargos, I mean, children.
