Library Card & My Account 

Library CardLibrary cards are free for everyone. You must provide proof of your mailing address when applying for a library card. Parents must sign the library card application for children under 18 years of age.  The first card and any replacement cards are always free. Cards are issued at the time of application, at all branch locations and may be used at any of our branches, and you may check out immediately.

Don't panic! HCPL's Interlibrary Loan and TexShare Card services connect you with other libraries across the state and around the U.S. who might have what you're looking for.

A TexShare Card allows you to check out books and other materials from participating public and academic libraries across the state of Texas.

Interlibrary Loan lets you request books or other materials that HCPL does not have in its collection from libraries around the country and world.
